Description: As pavement material costs escalate, engineers are seeking ways to increase the percentage of reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) used in asphalt mixtures. High-RAP, characterized by recycled asphalt content greater than 25 percent, requires good materials management practices, complete characterization of the reclaimed asphalt pavement sources, and additional testing of the blended materials. This session explores the latest research and examine best practices for the processing, design, and production of high-RAP mixes.
